Peanut Butter and Oat Smoothie
This peanut butter and oat smoothie tastes just like a milkshake. Its also made with bananas, vanilla essence and flax seeds. It’s sweetened with dates. I make mine with oat milk, but it should work well with your milk of choice.
When I was a kid, I loved milkshakes. I was an uncomplicated boy, vanilla was my favourite. I didn’t have much interest for chocolate or strawberry. This smoothie creates the flavour of a milkshake, without being loaded with refined sugar.
I throw in some flax ground flax seeds or chia seeds for that extra nutrient boost.
You can experiment with thickness by adding more or less milk but I find around 600 ml of oat milk works well. You can also add more dates to make it sweeter, but I think around six gives a nice level of sweetness, without going too crazy.
